Something new! The subfloor of the new kitchen is done. I'm walking on our new deck!

Here are the latest demo pics. My old kitchen is gone, my fireplace is gone, my garage is gone, and the chimney is finally gone too. Wow!

Now I can say that I helped in the remodel construction, click image for a movie!

Those stones sure seem indestructable, aren't these supposed to be just facades?
Here it is, the end of the week, we know Calvin didn't figure these wall are still up.
(The following Monday, it took Calvin and his crew the entire day to get these stones off the exterior wall.)

Bye-bye chimney and our deck.

The chimney didn't want to leave, it was built to last. Calvin went hunting this week, and he sure wasn't too happy to return and saw the chimney still standing.
Not to mention that it broke his jackhammer.
