I almost hate to post this - I've been burned too many times in the past year. But, quoting Steve Krebs, "your permit is ready for you to pick up."

The home stretch

I just called the Building Department. Our application has been approved by the Fire Department and just needs to be signed off by the Building Department. The person on the phone said we should have final permits by the end of this week. I'll believe it when I see it ;)

Just as well - we're still not finished emptying the house. But, we are close.

All aboard! The train is leaving!

I got word from Steve Krebs today that the city returned their change list and it's minor. Steve will have it turned around immediately and thinks we should have permits by the end of the week!

Wow! Oh my God! It can't be true!

Now, we just have to finish packing up the house - ugh.

I submit to submission!

According to Steve Krebs, "Your Plans have bee submitted to the City for Plan Check". Unlike when Eddie Hurt said the same thing months ago, I actually believe Steve ;)

Team Krebs Delivers

The pre-submittal work is now completed. Steve Krebs says "I'm real happy with this project." :)

According to Steve, the next step is to wait for the plan corrections and in the meantime we can work on:

1. interior finishes and the 3D interior model
   
2. get together with Calvin and bring him up to date with the project
   
3. also get his input on any particular way he would like to build structural connections
